The Creamery Downtown
Breakfast Tacos & Eggs-Bennie
With some coffee on the side
This was my second visit to the Creamery; however, it’s been recommended to me many times as one of the better breakfast places in the area.
My main dish featured extremely fresh-tasting smoked salmon, topped with a perfectly poached egg, tangy Hollandaise, and flavorful fried Capers, all atop two slices of marble rye bread.
Everything we had was extremely flavorful; the only “complaints” we had were the tocos overflowing, making them very messy, but definitely worth the money. Personally, I would request a regular English muffin in the future, as the rye didn’t seem to complement the dish.
The Total for everything - Pre taxes and fees - $60.00, this isn’t a bad total for how much food we ordered, however any sit down restaurant that charges “Service Fees” is automatically docked points in my book. Additionally giving a “discount” of that fee when paying cash follows the same point deduction. I would prefer the restaurant raise prices by that % then charge a service fee.
*note - I’m sure its on the menu somewhere but I don’t recall seeing anything about this fee pre-bill.
